When I read Rhys, I find the ring of truth and something I recognise - about what real experience feels like and the difficulties of communicating, that not everyone has the capacity to change things or to shape the world around them; that not everyone has the voice or the words.

Here is Emmanuel College, which had to be the next of my colleges as it's really where my whole connection to Cambridge begins. This was where my uncle spent many years as a student and later a fellow. He chose this college as he thought it had the most beautiful name and I agree. I remember him giving me a tour of the college when I was younger, to all the parts that visitors don't normally get to see. I think of him showing me the Fellows garden, and pointing out the exceptional trees, the very friendly ducks, and so I've tried to capture these things in my photos - including one of my uncle Gerard at the end.
